ABYSMAL PHOBIA
A 2.5D Splatterstick Adventure
(UNDER DEVELOPMENT)
Welcome to Nox Terra—a literal galactic disaster zone.
Picture a moon being choked by a creeping consciousness known as The Strain, which is busy twisting regular humans and local wildlife into terrifying creatures. It’s a place where some lab-coat geniuses completely lost the plot, leaving behind a twisted, mutated landscape of pure, fog-shrouded, out-of-this-world chaos.
Enter Nail, a charmingly shameless anti-hero and once a proud member of the Iron Veil—a rugged outfit of half-mercenary warrior fighters with the guts and grit to establish outposts all across this moon, where even the radio signals fear to tread.
His past? Only he remembers... along with the voice in his head: Aria Core, his wife, who vanished years ago during the first Strain attacks.
But on Nox Terra, there is no time to waste. Jon Ryder of the Echo Wardens—badass strategists and fighters who never back down—contacts Nail:
"I bled for this vial. I burned every Skarnid nest from here to the cryo-ridges. Watched comrades melt in their own skin. And in the ruins, I found the original Strain Map... buried in the bones of the first infected. This isn't a cure. It's a rewind. Get it to the orbital array that crashed in the Goblin Plains. Insert the vial into the transporter and broadcast the protein code to the coordinates I give you. But you have to do it now... the Strain knows what I've made. It's learning."
This is how it all begins.
Abysmal Phobia isn't just a run-of-the-mill exercise in blasting through grotesque mutants and sweeping up the ashes of science experiments gone horribly wrong. This is a sprawling space opera set against a backdrop of pure interstellar darkness.
Crossing swamps, caves, and desolate wastelands, you'll encounter a cast of quirky, lovable characters, who are far more than just backup in a firefight; they might actually end up stealing your heart. Yes, you read that right—there's also a genuine romantic comedy buried under all this alien carnage.
Abysmal Phobia is a relentless, fast-paced action-adventure soaked in pitch-black humor, seamlessly blending classic sci-fi horror splatter with laugh-out-loud absurdity and storylines that completely spit on the rules of traditional intergalactic heroics.
From bizarre encounters with provocative alien women to wildly inventive weaponry, every single inch of this game is engineered to deliver a dark, story-driven ride that's as rich in lore as it is shameless.
